Singing Teaching for Children & Teens
Rock & Pop, Musical Theatre and Classical Singing Lessons in Bath for 9-18 year-olds
Unlocking your voice is a powerful thing to do when you’re working out who you are. Rachel builds her students’ confidence and resilience, encouraging them to try new things with their singing in order to progress. Students will gain an understanding of the theory and terminology of singing, improving their technique to ensure healthy voices. They will develop their repertoire, learning a great variety of contemporary music and/or musical theatre. And, hopefully, they will come away feeling capable, confident and secure in the knowledge that it is okay to get things wrong sometimes… because that is how we learn to get things right!
“I’ve never met a singing teacher who can bring people to life like Rachel can.”
- Rupert Gardner, Director of Music at Tring Park School for the Performing Arts
Students have the option to take Trinity Rock & Pop Vocals Grades and/or Trinity Singing Grades (including musical theatre pieces). These can provide additional UCAS points in Grades 6-8. Digital assessments happen in Rachel’s teaching space, filmed and submitted by Rachel. This is a fantastic way to capture performances without the pressure some grading methods can bring. Rachel’s tuition can also help with GCSE, A Level and BTEC Music performances, Duke of Edinburgh Award Skills, and songwriting.
Rachel’s students have gone on to study Acting, Music, and Musical Theatre at institutes such as LAMDA, BIMM, Arts Ed and the BRIT School. They have been involved in National Youth Choir and National Youth Music Theatre and National Youth Theatre. A number of Rachel’s students have already begun their careers in Theatre, TV and Film.
